Welcome spring!
Warmer temperatures, longer days, baby animals joining the world…..the signs of spring are universal. New birth & renewal of life are all around us. If you’re like me, this time of year also brings a long list of Spring projects!
Raised garden beds, trellises, chick brooders, and fencing are just a few of the projects on my Spring list. I’ve had seeds started in trays in my Germination Station for weeks! The anticipation is killing! Yes, I’m one of those impatient gardeners that starts checking for sprouts about 15 mins after sowing seeds. Crazy, I know, but the excitement is more that I can bare!
To help curb my impatience, I fill my time with various projects to keep me busy and prepare my yard for Spring planting.
Spring Projects
I have some really fun projects planned! Remember my Picture Perfect Cucumber post from last year? Wait until you see what I’ve come up with for my Sweet Banana Peppers, Onions, and Casper eggplant! Let’s just say you’ll be soaked with inspiration!
For now, here’s a quick run down of what projects I have planned…
- Complete redesign of my main garden area
- Arched trellises
- New vertical growing ideas for small spaces
- Sturdy tomato trellises that actually hold up
- Tackling irrigation issues
- Special raised bed
- Garden expansion for melons & pumpkins
- Repurposed wood projects
- Broody coop
and so much more!!!
Starting May 1st I will be starting a weekly gardening tips & tricks newsletter to run through the summer. Be sure to sign up for my mailing list so you don’t miss these!
